The National Gallery, London, that welcomes over 6 million visitors a year, has become the latest high-profile building to benefit from intelligent lighting control. A combination of LED light fittings and a digital control system has achieved 85% energy savings. The new system means the Gallery can make use of available daylight and adjust lighting levels around visitng hours and people traffic.
Overall, the improvements are estimated to achieve annual energy savings of 760,000kwh at a saving of around £53,600, with reduced maintenance contributing £36,000 (because LED lights tend to last 25 times longer than their current tungsten bulbs).
Now imagine if you did the same in your home! Think how much money you could save...
